After School Clubs
Because of the rules coming into place in 2010, this is already fast becoming a much sought after requirement. Like the curriculum time classes we have a set scheme of work for the students to follow which inevitably leads to more desirabilty of the subject within the school. All we insist on is that participating schools arrange students into appropriate KS levels.
We were looking for new and exciting extra-curricular clubs that would challenge our children mentally and physically. We introduced Taekwondo which quickly became a popular choice. David Carmichael is a professional, but also very experienced in working with children. Our pupils have responded to this in a positive way and are learning new skills.
As Extended Schools Co-ordinator i am pleased to be able to offer this enjoyable experience to the pupils at Cherry Orchard and believe this will lead to many more children getting involved in after school clubs.
