Olympic Achievement

Taekwondo was a demonstration sport at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Where it was the first time that the sport was included in the Olympic program; it would become an official sport twelve years later at the 2000 Games.

The UK has had very little success with Taekwondo on the Olympic circuit despite the wealth of talent that we have to offer. Our greatest achievement to date has been a few very near wins and of course the highly publicised Bronze medal win by Sarah Stevenson
